Saab’s multibillion deal in Canada faces military criticism
Canada’s Conservative opposition is demanding two investigations into the government’s planned purchase of Saab’s GlobalEye aircraft. At the same time, the surveillance aircraft is reportedly failing to meet several military requirements
Among other things, the opposition wants to establish whether the correct process was followed when the government decided to proceed with Saab. The criticism follows reports that GlobalEye does not meet several requirements set by the Royal Canadian Air Force.
