Swedish Defence Materiel Administration, FMV, has awarded Saab an order valued at approximately SEK 2.9 billion for continued work on the country’s future fighter system.
The contract builds on contracts signed in 2024 and 2025.
The order covers both flying and ground-based fighter demonstrators, as well as the development of concepts for manned and unmanned systems. According to FMV, the contract includes conceptual and technical studies of the ground-based demonstrators and the production of two demonstrators that are to be flown autonomously.
