After securing EUR 500 million in new funding, Stark says it will invest the capital in expanding European defence industrial capacity alongside "hundreds of suppliers".
The announcement was made on LinkedIn after the German defence technology scale-up secured investment from Sequoia Capital, Founders Fund and the NATO Innovation Fund (NIF).

For the Nordic region, the investment could have significant implications.
As previously reported by Defence Nordic, the company recently opened an office in Stockholm and is planning a broader Nordic expansion that includes both development and production facilities.

Stark said the funding will support research and development, new electronic warfare capabilities and expanded manufacturing capacity.
- Most crucially, [we will invest] in the talent that turns ideas into deliverable systems. It also means doubling down on the hundreds of smaller companies, specialist suppliers and manufacturing partners we work with every day, the company said.

The company plans to establish an industrial footprint across all Nordic countries, creating capabilities that allow production to scale through resilient regional supply chains.
According to Arlt Bjerrehøj, the strategy is intended to ensure Stark Defence can continue delivering capabilities during a crisis or conflict, even if supply routes across the Baltic Sea are disrupted.
