Sweden’s defence procurement agency, FMV, has ordered four Bofors 57 Mk3 naval guns from BAE Systems Bofors to replace weapons aboard existing navy vessels.

The agency announced the purchase in a press release, alongside an order for Bofors 57 mm 3P programmable ammunition.

- These new guns, together with modern programmable ammunition, strengthen the navy’s ability to counter threats such as both aerial and surface drones, Olof Öhrström, head of FMV’s ship systems unit, said.
