Sweden is moving closer to agreements on the armament of the Navy’s four new FDI frigates, Peter Bäckström, MBDA’s head of the Nordic region, told Dagens industri.
The plan is to sign two contracts. The first will cover the weapon systems and, according to MBDA, is expected to be signed with France’s Naval Group during the fourth quarter. The Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) is then expected to sign contracts for the missiles themselves.
