Denmark proposes ten-figure increase in defence equipment spending in 2027
F-35 fighters, armoured vehicles and naval upgrades feature in the government’s draft budget, alongside billions for ammunition, spare parts and maintenance
Denmark’s government proposes to increase spending on military equipment procurement and operations by DKK 2.9 billion in 2027, bringing the combined budget to DKK 31.2 billion.
That represents a rise of 10.2 percent in nominal terms compared with the 2026 budget figures presented in the draft finance bill.
