The goal is to prevent escalation says Finnish president

- The defence partnership between Finland and France is deepening, Finnish President Alexander Stubb said on X as he announced on Monday that Finland is joining the French nuclear deterrent.

Dissuasion avancée, or Forward Deterrence, as it is known, was introduced by French President Emmanuel Macron in March this year.
