Kongsberg selects supplier for counter-drone weapon stations

Kongsberg has selected radar technology from US company Echodyne for a range of air and surface applications, with counter-drone systems among the first areas of use.

According to a press release from Echodyne, the Norwegian defence group has integrated the company’s Mesa radar into its Protector RS4 and RS6 remote weapon stations. The combination is intended to improve the stations’ ability to detect, track and engage unmanned aircraft.
