Sweden signs EUR 4.3bn deal for four French frigates

Sweden has formally signed an agreement to acquire four FDI frigates from French shipbuilder Naval Group in a deal valued at EUR 4.3bn.

The contract was signed in Stockholm on Monday during a ceremony attended by French President Emmanuel Macron and Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson.

The ceremony took place aboard the Amiral Ronarc’h, the French Navy’s first FDI-class frigate.
