France is open to cooperating with Sweden on a next-generation fighter jet, an unnamed Élysée official told Politico ahead of President Emmanuel Macron's visit on Monday.
The overture could bring together rival fighter manufacturers Dassault Aviation and Saab while using a French industrial capability that Sweden lacks.
