Denmark has announced Kongsberg and Saab as its intended suppliers of two major unmanned underwater systems to be deployed from the Danish Armed Forces’ new ship, Norwind Helm.
Norway's Kongsberg Discovery has been selected for direct negotiations on an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) system. The procurement is expected to be worth DKK 150-350 million and includes integration, with options for maintenance and spare parts for up to ten years.
