Patria plans Finnish drone production with Ukrainian partner

The Finnish defence group has signed a letter of intent with General Cherry, which produces strike, fibre-optic and interceptor drones based on experience from the war in Ukraine.

Patria plans to establish drone production in Finland through a partnership with Ukrainian manufacturer General Cherry.

The two companies signed a letter of intent on Sunday, Patria announced in a press release.

The partnership will combine General Cherry’s experience in developing and producing small drones for the Ukrainian battlefield with Patria’s expertise in unmanned systems and the wider defence industry.
