The concept model of an unmanned combat aircraft system was displayed to the public during the Swedish Armed Forces’ anniversary air show at Malmen Air Base on 22–23 August.

The A3-001 could operate alongside Gripen and other crewed combat aircraft as part of an integrated system.

According to Saab, the concept is designed for high-risk missions such as electronic warfare, suppression of enemy air defences and precision strikes in heavily defended areas. The platform will also feature low observability, a high degree of autonomy and the ability to operate across multiple domains.
