US President Donald Trump is imposing tariffs on imported drones and components. According to a statement from the White House, the measure is intended to strengthen US manufacturing and reduce security risks associated with foreign supply chains.
A 100 percent tariff will apply to drones with a maximum take-off weight of more than 25 kilograms or equipped with a thermal imaging camera.
