The European Commission has disbursed another EUR 3.47bn to Ukraine under the defence window of the EUR 90bn Ukraine Support Loan.
The funding covers drones, including long-range jet-powered models, missiles, air defence equipment and Saab’s Gripen fighter jets, the Commission wrote in a release.

- We are also bringing our defence industries closer together, combining Europe’s industrial scale with Ukraine’s unmatched innovation, Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said in the release.

AdvertisementThe latest payment follows defence disbursements of EUR 3.9bn in June and EUR 1.1bn in July. The EU plans to release EUR 28.3bn to support Ukraine’s defence industrial capacity during 2026.
