Weibel growth slows as investment continues

Weibel Scientific continued to grow in 2025/26, although at a slower pace than the previous financial year.

According to the company's annual report, published on Thursday, Weibel generated revenue of DKK 903 million, representing year-on-year growth of 10 percent, reflecting sustained demand across the defence and security markets.

The previous financial year saw revenue growth of 42 percent, driven by several major contract awards.

EBITDA amounted to DKK 115 million, while investment in research and development remained high at DKK 106 million, in line with the previous year.

The performance reflects a market shaped by an increasingly complex geopolitical environment, with growing demand for advanced radar capabilities driven by greater emphasis on air defence and counter-drone systems.

Weibel's growth builds on its long-standing position in Doppler radar technology. With nearly five decades of experience and installed systems in more than 40 countries, the company maintains a strong position in instrumentation radars, supported by sustained demand across defence, test range and space applications.

Building on this foundation, the company is expanding its presence in emerging air defence applications.

During the year, Weibel increased investment in technology, production capacity and its organisation to strengthen its ability to scale. These investments weighed on short-term profitability but reflect a deliberate strategy to build a more resilient operating platform.

The company's workforce increased by 32 percent during the year, rising from 460 to 609 employees, reflecting higher activity levels and growing project complexity.

Weibel enters the new financial year with a solid order book and a strong sales pipeline, providing a firm foundation for continued double-digit growth.

The company expects revenue growth and improved earnings in the coming year, supported by stronger execution and increasing operational leverage as recent investments begin to deliver results.
