Snigel strengthens leadership team

Snigel has appointed Pontus Agerteg as Chief Commercial Officer and Deputy CEO.

Agerteg will join the Swedish company in September and will lead its commercial development activities in Sweden and international markets, with responsibility for sales and marketing, according to a LinkedIn announcement by the company.

- Pontus brings a combination of experience that will be highly valuable as Snigel enters its next phase of growth, said Malin Hlawatsch, CEO of Snigel.

Hlawatsch highlighted Agerteg’s understanding of end-user requirements, the defence industry landscape and the factors that underpin long-term business development in both domestic and international markets.

- His appointment represents the next strategic step in strengthening our position in Sweden while supporting our continued growth, she said.

Agerteg joins from Bertin Exensor, where he most recently served as Head of Service and Aftermarket after previously holding the position of Nordic Sales Manager.

Prior to his commercial career, he served in the Swedish Armed Forces, including roles within the Air Force Rangers and the Swedish Air Force Tactical Development Unit.

As the company expands, Agerteg will play a key role in strengthening Snigel’s presence in priority European markets and supporting its ambition to become a leading systems supplier.
