Finnish technology group Wärtsilä has signed a long-term Lifecycle Agreement with the Finnish Border Guard.
According to the company, the 10-year agreement extends existing coverage for the patrol vessel Turva and will also include two new vessels, Karhu and MT1407, which are scheduled to enter service in 2026 and 2027 respectively.
AdvertisementWärtsilä said the agreement is intended to support operational readiness in the Baltic Sea, one of the world’s busiest maritime regions, where the Finnish Border Guard is required to maintain a high level of preparedness.

In addition to supplying scheduled spare parts, Wärtsilä will provide operational support and technical guidance aimed at resolving issues rapidly and reducing downtime.
