The Danish Competition and Consumer Authority on Thursday approved the establishment of a joint venture in Denmark between Terma and Kongsberg Aviation Maintenance Services.

The proposed entity will focus on maintenance, repair and overhaul services for military airborne platforms and associated systems, initially in Denmark and, over time, potentially across the Nordic region.

- As industry, we want to support the Nordic defence forces to a much higher degree when it comes to service and maintenance, said Thomas Rekling, head of media relations, speaking to Defence Nordic in March.

The venture will provide maintenance, repair and overhaul support, primarily covering line maintenance and, to a lesser extent, heavy maintenance for military airborne platforms and associated systems across the Kingdom of Denmark.

Over time, this is expected to extend to servicing the Danish armed forces’ fighter aircraft, helicopters and uncrewed aerial systems, along with related aviation systems.

Terma A/S is a Danish aerospace and defence company developing and manufacturing radar systems, command and control solutions, self-protection systems for aircraft and helicopters, counter-drone technologies, aerostructures, and space electronics and software.
