GKN Aerospace Norway reshuffles leadership with new CEO

A management transition at a key engine components site signals continued pressure on supply chain resilience and production efficiency

Odd Terje Lium has been appointed chief executive officer of GKN Aerospace Norway AS, effective 13 April 2026.

He assumes leadership of the Kongsberg facility after several years in senior operational roles within the company.

- I look forward to working even more closely with the organisation to strengthen our operations and support our long-term ambitions, Lium said.

He will oversee the continued development of the business across aero engine and component production.

Lium has been part of the management team at GKN Aerospace Norway and most recently led procurement, logistics and customer management, according to a company statement.

The company points to the need for continuity across ongoing improvement programmes, including efforts to streamline production, strengthen supply chains and increase collaboration across GKN Aerospace divisions.

He brings experience from the manufacturing sector, with a background in engineering, technology development and production management.

Previous roles include VP Engineering, Technology & Quality and VP Production, with responsibility for quality systems, production processes and industrialisation.

Lium succeeds Nicola Armstrong, who will assume a global leadership role within GKN Aerospace. 

She has led operations in Kongsberg since 2023 and previously held senior roles in procurement, programme management and commercial operations within the engine division. In her new position, she will move to the group’s civil division.

GKN Aerospace Norway is part of the GKN Aerospace group, which supplies structures and components to aircraft engine manufacturers and airframe manufacturers globally. 

The Kongsberg site is a key supplier within the group’s value chain, particularly for engine components.
