Patria and Latvia have concluded a life cycle support agreement for the Common Armoured Vehicle System 6x6 fleet operated by the Latvian National Armed Forces.
The agreement supplements the 2024 life cycle management contract for the 6x6 CAVS signed by Latvia, Finland and Patria, which Sweden and Denmark subsequently joined.

According to Patria, the new contract sets out Latvia-specific sustainment processes, responsibilities, services and products intended to ensure the fleet’s long-term operational readiness.
AdvertisementPekka Ruutu, executive vice president of Patria’s sustainment solutions business area, said the agreement strengthens Latvia’s long-term readiness by combining national defence industrial capabilities with Patria’s original equipment manufacturer expertise.

The Finnish-led CAVS programme now comprises seven participating nations: Finland, Latvia, Sweden, Germany, Denmark, the United Kingdom and Norway.

In October 2024, Latvia added 56 armoured Patria 6x6 vehicles, on top of the already ongoing deliveries as part of the CAVS programme. These vehicles will serve as command and control units.
