Patria has signed a contract with Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace for the delivery of Protector RS4 remote weapon stations for more than 300 Patria 6x6 armoured vehicles under the multinational Common Armoured Vehicle System (CAVS) programme.
The contract, valued at approximately €140m, includes an additional order for Sweden, as well as RS4 subsystems for several CAVS vehicle variants ordered by Germany in December 2025, the companies said.
AdvertisementVehicle assembly will be carried out in cooperation with Patria’s industrial partners in Germany, with deliveries scheduled between 2026 and 2030.
- The CAVS defence collaboration framework enables nations to move fast, buy smart and sustain capabilities locally. As a result, defence forces receive a consistent, interoperable capability backed by a robust European supply chain, said Jussi Järvinen, executive vice-president of Patria’s protected mobility business area.

AdvertisementThe Finnish-led CAVS programme currently includes seven member nations: Finland, Latvia, Sweden, Germany, Denmark, the United Kingdom and Norway. The vehicles are also in operational use in Ukraine.
Patria has so far contracted nearly 2,000 Patria 6x6 vehicles, including options, and has delivered more than 300.
