Finnish defence contractor Patria strong growth in both net sales and operating profit in the final quarter of 2025, as rising defence budgets across Europe translated into higher demand and new contracts.
According to preliminary results, the Finnish defence group’s net sales for the full year rose by 31,6 pct. to 1,086 bn euro - passing a strategic milestone for the first time.
AdvertisementAt year end, Patria’s order backlog stood at a record 3.5 bn euro.

The company’s largest-ever deal was signed in December, with two serial production contracts with Germany covering Patria 6x6 armoured vehicles and the Patria Nemo mortar system.
AdvertisementThe contracts are valued at more than 2 bn euro, including a firm order value exceeding 1bn euro.
Patria said interest in its products and services increased further during 2025, supported by higher defence spending and EU-backed initiatives aimed at accelerating defence materiel procurement and development.
AdvertisementDuring the third quarter, Denmark joined the Common Armoured Vehicle System (CAVS) programme, placing an order for 129 Patria 6x6 vehicles.
The UK and Norway also joined the programme during the period, bringing total participation to seven countries.
The company has also launched a comprehensive internal development programme, which it said would be central to meeting its growth, profitability and delivery-capability targets in the coming years.
AdvertisementLooking ahead, Patria expects net sales growth to remain strong in 2026, with most of the increase driven by its armoured vehicle and weapon systems business.
