Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace and consortium partner Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ) have signed a contract with the Polish Armaments Agency for the delivery of Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (CUAS).
The contract is worth approximately NOK 16bn to Kongsberg. The programme, known as San CUAS, will deliver 18 counter-UAS batteries to Poland, according to a company statement.
AdvertisementKongsberg and PGZ bring complementary experience to the programme. The batteries will field a wide range of effectors, including 35 mm, 30 mm and 12.7 mm guns, as well as missiles, interceptor drones and other means to counter aerial threats.

PGZ subcontractor Advanced Protection Systems (APS) will provide a tailored command-and-control architecture to connect sensors and effectors, integrating SAN CUAS with Poland’s national air defence network.
